SHAPE Online is an accessible way of searching projects funded or undertaken by English Heritage.

Currently it includes projects funded through the following Grants Schemes:

National Heritage Protection Commissions Programme (NHPCP)
Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF)

It also includes projects undertaken internally by experts working within English Heritage

Please select the appropriate tab above for a specific Grants Scheme, for internal projects, or select ‘All Projects’ to search across the range.

You can refine your search through a combination of options including by county, by financial year, and/or by chronological period (for example Neolithic, Roman) where appropriate. You may also wish to search against English Heritage’s Strategic Objectives, against the type of project activity (for example Research, Empowerment, Communication), or against specific Sub-programmes within our strategic framework (SHAPE)
